Individual Grief Counseling- New York

MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care
39 Broadway, Suite 200, New York, NY     (800) 467-7423    (212) 420-2844

One of the largest hospice and palliative care programs in New York and the largest under Jewish auspices. We offer halachic care for children and adults, have a special program for Holocaust Survivors and their families, as well as offer medical and social work services, music and art therapy, bereavement and pre-bereavement counseling and caregiver support groups.  A rabbi is available on request to provide pastoral counseling and caring conversations related to end-of-life issues. Jewish holidays are observed, and all staff are sensitive to Jewish religious and cultural preferences. We assist with funeral planning and work with funeral homes and the chevra kadisha. We have the unique ability to obtain electronic death certificates, which facilitate burial within 24 hours of the a patient’s passing. MJHS Hospice residences all observe kosher dietary laws.
Pediatric and adult patients may receive our services at home, inpatient living facilities, assisted living communities, nursing homes or in one of our hospice residences.
